ISRD Expert Design Method
|
The
ISRD
Expert Design Method
is a team-based approach to creating high-power
designs for training systems. The design method is based on
ISRD's three year study of the practices of expert instructional
designers, sponsored by the Office of Naval Research. The
study revealed success factors, a number of highly effective
teaching strategies, and a
disciplined but opportunistic rapid prototyping approach to system
design uniformly used by the experts.

This product includes training and
support materials, and a computer-based seminar for each design
project team member specifically addressing their role.
Please contact ISRD for information about utilizing this method as
a framework for your training system design and development
process.

Courseware Designer Support Tool (CDST)
|
The
CDST is a software product that supports courseware designers.
The CDST is based on
the ISRD
Expert Design Method,
and reflects the findings of an original study of the practices of expert instructional designers
who have designed effective computer-based instructional systems. The CDST supports the use of expert methods of instructional
design by non-designers such as teachers, trainers, and
subject-matter experts. View the CDST
Page. Please contact ISRD for further information.
